The communities of Cromer and Mundesley faced significant threats from coastal erosion and flooding, impacting property, tourism, and local heritage.
In collaboration with Balfour Beatty and North Norfolk District Council, the Cromer Phase 2 and Mundesley Coastal Management schemes, delivered via the SCAPE Civil Engineering framework, enhanced coastal defences, safeguarding residents from extreme weather while creating new wildlife habitats. This project exemplifies sustainable coastal defence, merging engineering excellence with community and environmental benefits, and has established a new benchmark for future coastal protection initiatives in the region.
