From early trials to multi‑million‑pound developments, Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s collaboration with Morgan Sindall and SCAPE continues to deliver results and champion social value.

Following a successful trial project at Middlegate (a <£1m scheme), the collaboration between Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Morgan Sindall and SCAPE has gone from strength to strength. Projects including The Place, a £17m flagship development, are now completed, and work is underway on the NOWZ Operations & Maintenance Building, valued at £7.5m.

The council has become a strong advocate for SCAPE, influencing neighbouring authorities to procure major projects through SCAPE frameworks. For example, East Suffolk Borough Council’s £13m Cultural Quarter Development and the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk’s £4.3m Active Travel Hubs.

"Seeing local students being able to participate in this project as part of their learning is really important as The Place begins fulfilling its role as a key part of our aim of improving educational opportunities for the people of Great Yarmouth. We are grateful to Morgan Sindall and all of our partners as we work towards delivering the jobs and careers of the future."
