The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council aims to become the UK’s leading clean growth district by modernising its transport infrastructure and city centre.
In collaboration with Balfour Beatty through the SCAPE Civil Engineering framework, three interlinked projects — the City Centre Walking and Cycling Improvements Scheme, West Bradford Cycle Superhighway Extension, and South Bradford Targeted Bus Measures — set to unlock wider regeneration for Bradford's city centre. Bringing together City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Balfour Beatty, Sweco, and a wide range of community stakeholders, the goal is to create a greener, more accessible city centre that prioritises people, sustainability, and culture.
