Essential infrastructure was required to support the construction of approximately 12,000 new homes for the expanding population in Wokingham.

The Wokingham Major Highways is a transformative £134m infrastructure project by Wokingham Borough Council through the SCAPE Civil Engineering Framework. This included multiple projects, such as road improvements, junction upgrades, and roundabouts, aimed at enhancing connectivity and reducing congestion while supporting sustainable growth. Early contractor involvement allowed Balfour Beatty to help mitigate risks and provide cost-effective solutions, earning recognition for collaboration, social value, and excellence in delivery.

"Everyone comes together for weekly collaboration meetings, and there is a full understanding of the project overall (and the wider scheme) - what needs to be done and when by. The team is fully on board with the aims and the product we need to deliver."
